It was very personal, well designed and clean. The hallway was a bit dark
The hotel is new, clean, well-managed, and in a great location. Also, the rooftop restaurant, which is where the complimentary breakfast is, is amazing. We ate dinner at Le Fumoir one night and it was our favorite meal in all of Turkey. My room was a bit dark because it was on the 2nd floor and faced the street and another building. However, this is nothing management can change. I do think the air conditioning could be stronger. It takes a while to cool the room.
the position perfect not very good breakfast, small room
The room was really nice furnitured and it had an amazing view of Bosphorus (4th floor and above) Pugging was not good, you could hear everything happening in your next rooms. Breakfast had good variety but it could be of better quality
excellent service, clean room, good people.
Very comfortable beds Great location Good service The anti-allergy pillows are limited and it has a first come first serve policy Internet not always stable for work
it was on the istiklal street beyoğlu and it was close to the other places which are imporrtant places of istanbul
Room and the bar a the last floor Iron was not available after 21:00
The hotel staff were very polit and friendly and room service was excellent. I advise the hotel to debit the visa/master card of the customer as soon as he doese the booking and few days before customer arraival this because the customer might done early booking and has used the funds during the period from booking till arraival to hotel. the towls in thr rooms must be changed after usage
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, amazing views from the restaurant/bar. Room was spacious and clean. Very good location. No
The stuff was very helpful and the free internet access too.
in the center of the city, close the everywhere, lovely sea view... breakfast was poor, needs a renovation...
third time I stayed there, I highly recommend this hotel
The nice and helping staff and its wonderful view of Maramara sea from restorent on 10th floor.! There were no veg dishes at all in the restorent of the hotel so there is no meaning for free dinner to vegetarian if he is planning more than 6 days stay. The location was littlebit odd as there were no eating joints or even a grossery store near to the hotel. (Atleat for next 500 meters). Buffet breakfast was okay and not the best.they should add more choices to that
The staff are friendly and speak english quite well. The roof top restaurant has a good view on a clear day. The housekeeping can be further improved to provide consistent cleanliness
Nothing was too much trouble, staff were helpful and charming at all times and went above and beyond the call of duty - they had my check in paperwork ready when I got there at midnight, even though I hadn't given them advance warning, had a platter of fruit ready in my room and even managed to find an adaptor at 1am. Faultless service. I would stay here again without hesitation and recommend it to others. In an 8-day stay, it was the last of 4 hotels I stayed in and while there are plenty of snazzier, more luxurious hotels - you have to pay top whack for that - the Golden City was spotlessly clean, facilities were immaculate and free wireless in the rooms (even the the 5* I stayed in earlier didn't have that). Excellent location too.
The rooms were updated with all the amenities needed for a stay. Roof restaurant and bar with the best views of Istambul. centrally located, easy access to taxi, Tram or Bus. Breakfast with a variety of products and service with a smile. Commercial neighborhood.
The staff and personnel were very kind and helpfull. The hotel is well situated across the Golden Horn with a splendid view over it and the old city. You are in walking distance of all the beauty of Istanbul. You can go to the roof with a terrace and enjoy the lovely view! Rooms are clean and breakfast is good. Rooms are a bit small. We could change to a very nice deluxe room with a good view at the 9th floor after making remarks about the noise from the street and size of the standard room we first got on the front. So we were lucky I guess.
Staff were awesome , so clean , amazing view , close to subway and train , perfect breakfast The price
The hotel had a fantastic location and one of the most breathtaking views of Istanbul that I've ever seen. We were able to walk to the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sofia from this hotel, although it was a lengthy (but enjoyable) walk. The staff was very friendly and helpful and made every effort to make the stay as pleasant as possible. The reception spoke English and was able to help give us recommendations on places to go and directions to get there. I would absolutely stay here again.
the hotel is new clean with nice view on the golden horn. breakfast is excellent Staff are very polite and helpful. special thanks Mr Furkan . Sure i recommend this nice hotel .
the very impressive few from our room iat 9th floor
very clean, nice room, well equiped, very good service, very friendly, good price, nice views from the top, I really recomend this hotel, I will surely stay there again for this class hotel I would expect little better choice for breakfast
The rooftop restaurant is great. Hotel was also clean/comfortable. The location is not ideal if you have children. The hotel is surrounded by hardware stores selling lawnmowers/chainsaws/etc. Walking to the tram stop was not easy with a stroller, so we started taking taxis.
Nicely furnished, modern, new and very clean rooms. All amnities you except to see in a standard 5 star hotel were there. The bathroom is very clean and the whole hotel is very well kept. Breakfast was decent. Go there if you are an active tourist who spends most of the day outside and wants a really comfortable and clean botique to crash in at night. That is because the hotel has no entertainment and te room has no window. Although the hotel is in an alley that's a bit hard to ins the first time, it is a couple of hundred meters away both from Galata and from The Golden Horn fairy and all the attractions in Karakoy. Central location. Wifi is very weak in the rooms. No windows in rooms. But if you're there as a tourism, you won't stay in the room and it won't bother you. The staff can be friendlier.
The roof top bar was amazing. The view of the city and water was one of the highlights of the trip. The AC has a minimum of 18 C so it can take a while for the room to get cold.
Very nice hotel, great staff, all fluent in English. I really enjoyed our stay. The location is great, right by the Galta tower. It has a nice terrace restaurant / bar that overlooks the old city skyline where you can see the hagia Sopfia, blue mosque and the topaki palace. I would definitely stay here again. Group of 6 friends from the USA.
Staff was very helpful and polite. Internet was decent. Very close to the Galata Bridge and plenty of public transportation options nearby. Neighborhood is a bit sketchy, and the single room was really small. The bed took up more than half the space.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the view from the restaurant is stunning. The location is excellent. Mr Abdullah Cem was very helpful in assisting with a number of bookings. Service was delivered with a smile and with enthusiasm. The transport to and from the airport was expensive, and at 70 eur in each direction I would expect a better quality of transport, and greater convenience. On arrival we could not find the driver as he was not waiting at the meeting point. Lack of air conditioning in the car was also quite unpleasant.
It is very well situated in the beygelou area and the staff are very warm and friendly. I have answered the above ro a Blackberry and have assumed that I have ticked Excellent for all the above. Our room, although a beautiful and large room, faced on to the Galata Square which was very noisy with music and performers until very late at night. Other smaller rooms were quieter.
Great hotel, super location, great staff, no complains... super value for money...
Absolutely superb location. A very short walk to the shopping district and 15 minutes to the old city. Stunning breakfast & evening views from the restaurant. Helpful staff. Bad view from rooms on the back side of the hotel. Bathroom had a funny smell.
Good location for siteseeing in the city and restaurants in Beyoglu. The view from our room and the restaurant was superb. The staff were very heplful and friendly. Our room (406) was very small, but others looked adequate.
Very nice view from the breakfast room at the top of the hotel Breakfast not so good
Some of the stafff were excellent but many were quite sullen with a poor grasp of English.Room was a good size with a great veiw over the Golden Horn.It was nice and quiet. Breakfast was plentiful but nothing special Lovely views from dining room.
Very nice and new hotel, huge rooms, with wooden floors. Some of the rooms do have a sea view. Location is excellent very near to the old part of the city, also very close to Taksim. You can reach the hotel by train, ferry or bus very easily. There is no sign for the hotel, so it is not easy for anybody to reach the hotel, unless he know the area very well
Everything is just great. Turks pay attention to details and this hotel is all about details. Great location: safe, proximity to shops and restaurants, tram, metro, convenient stores. Very clean and very comfortable rooms. My experience with the staff memebers was great: they are kind, friendly and always willing to help. The rooms are very small. I suggest the suites instead for two or more people. Otherwise, no complaints.
The hotel staff were all friendly and polite in particular Irfan as he did go out of his way to help and advise on places to visit in the city. The health and Spa facilities were all clean and in working order, the staff working there are also very friendly and always at hand to help and assist. The hotel is a newly built so the condition of it is excellent and spotless and very close to the Metro station so is ideally located. The bathroom amenities are very good, the hair dryer is powerful and so is the iron. The Aya room was small, would have been perfect if the room was a bit larger but we were out all day so did not matter much!
We booked standart room is about 10 m2, bed not for 2 people very small. In suit was everything excelent Rewiev is for standart room
The hotel has a good central location. The room was too small.
Very friendly and accommodating staff; offered an upgrade to a brand new modern suite at very little extra charge upon check-in. Extremely nice room with good views, large living room, bedroom and kitchen with many nice perks. Well located for easy access to the new city in Istanbul.
the decor was terrific What they call a standard double room was far too small for 2 people
The location was great. It was clean and fairly new. Most of the staff were friendly and the room was big. The breakfast was not good. There were 6 different sorts of breakfast dishes; yochurt or rather tasteless pancakes or two little slices or bread with melting cheese or muesli or a very very greasy omlet or a plate with three types of turkish cheese or some other melted cheese roll. You could choose one dish and could not mix. Any additinions had to be paid. We even skipped breakfast, just had the juice and ate our breakfast somewhere else although we booked including the breakfast. Also the rooms were very very warm. The heating system had been changed from "summer to winter" although we had 22 degrees on some days and lots of sun. We were not able to switch the heating off completely and had to sleep with all windows open.
This is a new hotel (Aug 2009) but the staff was very helpful and experienced. They had a good knowledge of the area. Very well designed rooms with excellent details. Location was very good and view from upper floor across to Blue Mosque etc was a plus. If this fits into your budget. It is worth it. NO
Great hotel for smokers because everyone smokes so much that the wallpaper and air smell like cigarettes! You can smoke cigars on the restaurant patio even though the smoke blows right into the restaurant - a fantastic smell when you're trying to enjoy your meal. We stayed at Tunel for 5 nights. Our room was fine for 4 nights w dodgy wifi but then for the last night, they moved us to a disgusting and tiny box of a room where the wifi did not work. The room was dark because 2 of the main light bulbs were out. The floor was severely scratched up, wallpaper peeled, plastic headboard deteriorated onto our faces while we slept! It stank like cigarette smoke. The ceiling in the shower was mouldy and dropped wet chunks on us while we were showering. They skimped on towels. The blinds fell down with a loud thud when we opened the window. When I shared these issues with the front desk she offered a one-time free £3 breakfast. I told her I wanted a new room and she said she had none. I looked online and found that they had THREE available rooms. I asked her why she was being dishonest with me and she said it was because she could get more from a client who booked online.
I was upgraded to a luxury apartment, and beacuse of that probably enjoyed my stay even more than I would have otherwise. Tünel Residence comes highly reccomended
Wonderful hotel, wonderful staff, clean, modern, comfortable, just like home but better.
