Not what I expected
The cleanliness was not top priority they only made beds they did not clear cups for days or replace toilet paper. The Defoe at night reminds me of the shining as well. The breakfast set up was ok but when ordering room service as the walk is so far the staff is rude

Room was very nice for price. Room was very clean and housekeeping staff friendly.
Front desk was not helpful and very abrupt.

An old hotel that has echoes of "The Grand Budapest Hotel", a faded palace where Verdi once stayed. Steps from Termini station and the A Metro at Republicà, it is an excellent jumping off point for your Roman stay. The staff is extremely friendly.
The included breakfast is forgettable, though the garden in which it is served is not. Skip it for a cappuccino and corneto at one of Rome's countless Caffè.

Great location but needs updating
The hotel is a great old building but is in dire need of updates.
The ventilation is bad. The AC was barely functional.
