Silk Path Boutique Hanoi

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They learnt our names and were always interested in what we had planned and how they could help. Our flight from the UK landed very early in the morning - the reception and housekeeping team ended up prioritising our room so we were able to check in more than 4 hours early - we were so grateful for that! The location of the hotel is right next to a beautiful lake - at the weekend we were there they closed off the roads and there was a fun carnival atmosphere.

The hotels rooftop bar seemed to be closed for refurbishment so will be great when that re-opens.

Service from staff was next level perfect and the location couldn't have been better. The room itself was the largest one in the hotel and well worth the little extra to secure it. A private balcony where I was served dinner by candlelight and a lazy late breakfast. Just perfect in every regard.

The location is great and the hotel itself was very nice. Really set the wrong tone with the ridiculous airport transfer they offered us, but everything else was good.

They offered an airport transfer for 48 usd and said if we choose not to book that they can't help us.The regular price is 16-20 usd in every other hotel (we've stayed in a few throughout the trip), so 3 times that price was a bit much. Once we arrived at the hotel with a transfer we booked ourselves both the reception lady and one other guy from the staff gave us extensive talks on how they can book a taxi for us for a cheaper price (13 usd!?!) and we should definitely book through them for the drop off. Funny how booking a cheaper car became an available option all of a sudden... Would highly recommend double checking prices before booking any services through them.
