Beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. A real 5 star experience here in Tenerife.
Pros: The relaxing friendly nature of the whole experience.
Cons: Check in quite late at 3pm, and towels not available in the early evening for a swim when we first went to the pool on arrival.
Probably the best place in Tenerife. I will come back again. They try to help but sometimes lack the attention to detail that is required from a hotel at this standard. Staff are very friendly. Great for kids. One of the good things about this hotel is that even though it was 100% full you didn't feel it was crowded at all.
Pros: Feels like Paradise
Cons: Staff are very new and don't always know to direct visitors
The Ritz-Carlton, Abama is an oasis of tranquility and seclusion, a retreat for the body and the mind, where sea, land, and subtropical vegetation mingle seamlessly with architectural forms. The resort's 461 guest rooms and suites are divided between the Citadel and four exclusive rows of villas, enjoying magnificent views over the Atlantic Ocean, the golf course or our beautiful gardens. The Ritz-Carton, Abama offers ten restaurants ranging from light, simple cooking to world-class gourmet cuisine. At the top end of the scale, our Michelin starred restaurants, M.B awarded with two stars and Kabuki with one. Providing a heaven of escape, the Moorish-inspired resort features 7 swimming pools, a golden sand beach accessed by its own cable car, a 2500m2 Spa, offering treatments, classes and wellness programs, a Ritz Kids and the Annabel Croft Tennis Academy.
Pros: Liked the rooms, the pools, the public areas, the location for Alcala.
Cons: The breakfast food was very average. So we ate in town for all other meals (good selection of places nearby). Sunbeds were poor with no matresses. I had a good stay but came away thinking it was a 3 star package holiday hotel passing itself off as 5 star because of the 'red level' bit attached to it.
