Pros: Room is well appointed and very comedienne. Staff is friendly and helpful. A beautiful well decorated old hotel with modern conveniences.
Cons: Service in restaurants was a little sporatic. Water pressure in shower a little weak. No check out on TV, and in person checkout was slow.
Pros: Very pleasant and knowledgeable concierge
Cons: We didn't like the room first provided but after complaining received smaller but with much better view. Why not to provide the better room initially?
Pros: Loved the elegance of the hotel, service and roof top dining.
Cons: Nothing, just perfect!

Pros: very handy for the sites, close to airport bus & metro breakfast was good
Cons: The carpets in the hallways were stained, as was the room plus the curtains were marked,
Pros: - great location: next to Syntagma square, all the main tourist places are within walking distance
- great breakfast: very good variety of savoury and sweet dishes,
- Nice, large, clean and comfortable room: room and hotel are well maintained
Cons: - we booked a double room and added "double bed" in our request, but for some reason, it was not communicated to the hotel (too many intermediary agents?) - so we were given twin room. The hotel was full and couldn't change our room. Make sure to email the hotel directly after booking!
Pros: The location cannot be beat. You are right in the middle of most of the main attractions. The breakfast is very good.
Cons: The shower was a bit small in my room, and the bed was a little too firm, but other than that it wa an excellent hotel.

It is close walking distance to the major tourist sites, shops and restaurants. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and have air conditioning. Breakfast is a must do in the morning. While enjoying your delicious breakfast, you can get friendly information and advice from your hostess. First week of May is a perfect time to visit Athens. Temperature is around 24C to 27C. Visit the National Archaeological Museum (10 Euros) and Athens Academy of Arts if you like to take pictures of statues. Laundry service is also available.
Pros: This is a respectable hotel, that gives good basic services to it's guests. It's overall advantage is it's location. Stay at Plaka Hotel and all of Athens is easily available to you.
Cons: I have nothing to complain about.
Pros: The friendliness of the staff and how helpful they were all the time; they gave us tips to move around and help us to keep our luggage even when we've already checked out. The hotel is well located with many important places (most-visited historic attractions) at walking distance; also great was having a convenient small market next door where we could get fruits, beverages, baked goods, etc.
The breakfast were very good, as well as the views from the roof lounge.
Cons: The maze of streets – if you're driving a car there, it is hard to park and easy to get lost in the many one-direction streets.
Pros: Rooftop terrace view and Elsa our bartender. Efharisto!!!
Pros: The terrace has a beautiful view of the Acropolis and the location is very close to restaurants, bars, and other places you would like to see and visit.
Pros: clean, quiet, good beds, staff were sooooooooo friendly, soooooo helpful, roof top bar/lounging area was so quiet and romantic, looking right at the acropolis. hotel right in the old town of Athens, the ancient agora. been to Athens many times, 2nd time at Plaka Hotel, will only stay there from now on.
Putting you in a great location within just a 10-minute walk of Roman Agora and Ancient Agora, Plaka Hotel offers an airport shuttle (available 24 hours) for EUR 60 per room one way. Guests can grab a bite to eat at the restaurant, or indulge in massages, facials, or body treatments. A bar/lounge and a terrace are other highlights, and rooms offer refrigerators and room service.
Pros: Service was impeccable, food was delicious, especially upstairs on the rooftop. Killer view. Oh, and the mattress and bedsheets are of high quality - you'll sleep very well.
Cons: The wifi is kinda slow, shower design will leave your floor soaked
Pros: Very nice hotel, great location. The room was quite big and the bed was sooo comfortable. I was impressed by the design.
Cons: They could improve breakfast. It's ok to have the same breakfast everyday but food that should be warm was cold constantly.
Set in the district of Plaka on a quiet side street, this Athens hotel is near the new Acropolis Museum, Zappeion Exhibition Hall, The Roman Agora, and 500 metres from Syntagma Square's metro station to the Athens Airport. The tram to the Athens coastline is nearby.
Pros: The lobby was beautiful with artistic wire statues and a bar/restaurant with trees growing through it. The staff is very professional and tries to be very helpful (though both times I stayed at the hotel there was not a doorman to greet me and carry my luggage up the steps). Gorgeous rooftop bar and a nice jacuzzi area on the floor below it.
Cons: We stayed at the hotel 2 nights--one at the beginning of our trip and one at the end. The first room we had at the beginning of our trip literally reminded me of a hostel I'd once stayed at--the bed was a hard board looking thing with a gross looking red coverlet (not even a comforter). We also did not get one bed but instead, two twins pushed together. When I returned on the last leg of my trip I mentioned this but they only had one room left and put me in an equally bad room (only after accidentally giving me the key to an occupied room). This room at least had better beds and bedding but because it was on the first floor, it had no natural sunlight (blocked by the building) and made me feel as if I was staying in someone's basement. It was also a smaller room than the first and we struggled to find a place out of the way to put both of our suitcases. The air conditioner also leaked water. It's a shame--beautiful hotel but sadly the rooms are not up to par. Perhaps at $200 US dollars/night I didn't spend enough to get a nice room?
Pros: Great value for money, well located close to the Acropolis, nice common areas and pleasant breakfast room. Rooms are well equipped and very clean.
Cons: Bathroom a bit dated, but very clean. No issues. Room had no view, but for the money, more than acceptable.
Pros: The location of the hotel is great, with easy access to the Acropolis, Acropolis Museum and the Acropolis Metro. Make sure to ask for an outside facing room as some rooms can be small and cramped.
The downstairs lobby area is very nice with a good atmosphere to sit and talk or to read/write.
Cons: Sometimes the rooms can be cramped and dark. Sometimes cab drivers can't locate it, but just tell them to drop you off by the Acropolis Museum and you can navigate it easily.
Pros: This is the perfect location for exploring Athens. Safe Street, restaurants and shopping nearby, immediately adjacent to the modern and magnificent Acropolis museum. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very quiet and the rooftop view of the Acropolis is spectacular.

Cons: The location was terrible and the staff was extremely unhelpful. I fell down a staircase and not one person offered to help me up or ask if I was ok. The hotel room was filthy and full of flies. I felt extremely unsafe staying there and DO NOT recommended this hotel to anyone in the future. The bathroom was also dirty I had to clean the tub myself before I could even use it as it was filled with debris and hair. Overall the experience was awful.
Grecotel Pallas Athena offers an airport shuttle (available 24 hours) and puts you in a great location, within a 15-minute walk of Roman Agora and Ancient Agora. A bar/lounge and a terrace are offered, and rooms at this luxurious hotel get the details right with premium bedding and down comforters.
Pros: Good area near lots of restaurants and major sites. Hotel is very basic with very small rooms. Good to rest and shower but far from luxury. Basic tourist level 2/3 star spot. AC was very good.
Cons: Towels need an upgrade. Very thin and overused. Bed was very hard and small.
Pros: It was a cheap stay for 1 night during transit. The location was great and it was easy to be able to walk to all the sites in Athens downtown (i.e. Syntgama square, Monisteraki market and Plaka). Breakfast was good and starts early. I am a vegetarian and I had few options but plenty like fruits, cereals, bread and some dessert. They have juice, coffee and tea. For meat eaters, they had lots of options like eggs, some cured meats, fish, omelette, etc.
Cons: The carpets were outdated and looked overused. The bathroom was too small and compact. Had a stuffy smell in the room which I guess was because of old carpet.

Pros: Modern, sleek and elegant design, beautiful rooftop pool, lovely breakfast, easy to walk to sites.
Cons: The location felt a bit edgy at night.
Pros: Staff helpful, clean.
Cons: Room was a bit small but worked
Cons: This hotel is located in a very bad part of Athens. When we were checking out and going to a different hotel, Fresh Hotel refused to provide a refund for the day that we did not stay.
Pros: I thought the hotel was great, nice modern interior, fantastic location, 5 minute walk to Monastiraki Square, room was pretty spacious and the rooftop pool was small but still refreshing after a long day of touring. The breakfast was fantastic, a great spread!
Cons: The pool was a bit small and the rooftop bar was pretty overpriced, but otherwise no complaints!
Pros: Rooftop bar/ restaurant with views of the Acropolis.
Room was clean with the 3 beds we requested.
Location was convenient to all tourist destinations.
Cons: Bed was not super comfortable.
Pros: Location and price for the main advantages of this hotel.
Cons: The immediate neighborhood is a little bit seedy, but this did not bother me.
Pros: Roof deck, attentive service, location
Pros: They have a very nice breakfast.
Cons: The difference between a standard room and a luxury standard room is virtually zero. The rooms generally are extremely small. The hotel is situated in a dirty, rough part of the central city with prostitutes and thugs on the street. Management seems to believe that their guests are lucky to stay there.
I gave this hotel a second chance about a week ago. Never again.

Pros: The rooms are big and the location is great next to shopping and restaurants.
Pros: Very nice place located in the heart of the city with a good value. The staff was always there to help and made excellent recommendations for our stay.
Cons: Would've loved to have a single queen bed in stead of two twins but this is not that unusual in Greece.

Pros: Staff went above and beyond to address some help that I needed. It was very much appreciated.
Cons: Location. It is is a pretty rough part of the city.
Pros: Very nice clean hotel with nice modern rooms
Cons: Shower tub was too narrow and hard to stand in to take a shower.
Even though we were on a non-smoking floor we could severely smell smoke from adjoining rooms. We complained about the cigarette smell and was only told "sorry".
Pros: The staff were extremely warm, friendly and helpful. There was an issue when we checked in, finding our reservation, and they did not skip a beat to accommodate us while it was resolved. Breakfast was spectacular, the room and bathroom were exactly what we were looking for after a very busy days. The shuttle service closer to town was a huge help.
Cons: The hotel is a little bit of a walk from the areas we wanted to stay in, but the shuttle resolved most of our concerns.
Pros: Everyone was so nice. The person that assisted us when we checked in went above and beyond. Even though we were checking out at 3 am before breakfast, he told us to call room service and they would have breakfast ready for us when we wanted or they would pack a breakfast to go! They were very accommodating!

Pros: - Clean

Cons: - Extreme disrespect and rude treatment by one employee
- Location is terrible
- cameras and surveillance EVERYWHERE, no privacy whatsoever!
- Staff made a comment that "they know where we are at all times"; very uncomfortable

Pros: Proximity to museum and plaka
Cons: Internet didn't work TV cable news etc a joke....
The bed a single hard uncomfortable plank
Everything for 120$??
Pros: Great view of the Acropolis from the rooftop bar! Only bummer was that the hot tub is not open during the winter.
Pros: Close to trains and Plaka
Cons: Staff were not kind nor attentive
Pros: Rooms were comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was excellent with lots of selections. The rooftop bar had stunning views of the acropolis. The location was PERFECT! Walking distance to everything you need to see!

The restaurant is perfect for a bite to eat, and you can unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge or visit the spa tub for a relaxing end to the day. There's also a snack bar/deli, and rooms offer LCD TVs and refrigerators.
Pros: The views from the rooftop bar were gorgeous. Breakfast spread was excellent

Pros: We stayed only for one night to discover Athens. The hotel's location is great. Nice restaurants are around, city center and metro is very close and easy to reach when you walk.
The rooftop bar has a amaizing view to the achropolis!
Pros: The area was very near the city center with a great view of the Acropolis. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
Cons: Room was on the small side and the breakfast was mediocre at best. Avoid the charge and eat out. Plenty of good places nearby.
Pros: Staff was very helpfull and location was great.
Cons: It needs to be renovated. Room was too small and all furnitures were very old. I had a view of the wall of the next building.
Attalos Hotel features a rooftop terrace and puts you within a 5-minute walk of Monastiraki Flea Market. You can unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge, and the coffee shop/café is the perfect spot to grab a bite to eat. Rooms offer up nice touches like premium bedding and slippers, along with 24-hour room service and refrigerators.
Pros: I was on a tour. The first night was on me. very good room and this extended to second night. Off i went on the tour and returned for last night. This room was very small and nothing like the first night. There was painting and construction on floor and we had to pass through this to get to the room. The hotel did call to let me know about the length of work and offered a new room. I was too tired to move. They did send up a lovely tray of fruit and bottle water. I think the size of the room was picked by the tour not the hotel. The staff was great.
Cons: The business center. Not personal at all. I walked in asking about the getting a boarding pass. The lady pointed to the computer. I explained that I was not knowledgeable about computers. I was told to key in my airline and follow instructions. No help. She was not busy. I guest I look like a tourist and not a business person.
Pros: Our family enjoyed the rooftop pool as a wonderful break from sightseeing, and the included breakfast far exceeded expectations !!

Pros: Well appointed, great staff, great value for the amenities offered.
Cons: Parking can be a hassle but didn't prove a problem on this trip.
Pros: Found the hotel & booked it only a few days in advance. Upon arrival we were all upgraded to rooms with Jacuzzi's. The staff was outstanding- especially the Hotel Employee who was like a personal concierge.
Cons: No really.
Pros: Modern and comfortable hotel, Nice rooms, good service. Nice view from the rooftop terrace/pool
Cons: Neighbourhood. We felt a little insecure to walk in the neighbourhood after dark but you can always grab a cab and you will not get any problem
Pros: Kudos to reception. This young lady is truly what service is ALL ABOUT, AND WITH SMILE AND SINCERITY. Since no bellman to handle luggage hotel employee took it upon herself, delivered our luggage. Front desk excellent and accommodating.
Cons: Although our requested accessible room was not available confirmed by ----- Grab bars needed in shower. Roof top bar stool collapsed, drinks overpriced and lobby bar closed. No assistance in using wheelchair lift rooftop.
Pros: The entire staff, from the Hotel Desk, breakfast staff, house keepers, were very welcoming, friendly and assisted with a smile when asked..The cleanliness of the room, amenities were top notch. Breakfast was excellent.
Cons: Room was a little hot/stuffy.
Pros: The location. It is 10 min walk from central areas. Didn't find the location scary or problematic at all.
Cons: Didn't have assistance with luggage.
That is a jewel in the middle of a space that is not that well take care of. I feel impact when I arrived because the streets and the surroundings was dirty. The only cute that you are going to find around is the hotel or the other places away but use the subway to get to the attractions is very easy.
Pros: I like the location and the access that we have to all the transportation to go around Athens
Cons: That they doesn't have air conditioner in November when they have high temperatures in comparison with other countries. That they close the sky lounge assuming that all the people doesn't want to use the pool in that months. Was 65 and was nice for pool
Our departure in Athens would had been severely delayed if it wasn't for the Front Desk staff & manager who went out of their way to accommodate everything we need after we were robbed of our Passports/IDs. Although the neighborhood is rough and shady, use common sense caution and you will be fine. Ask for a room facing the rear; although no view, you will sleep like a baby in full silence as the street noise is heavy on the road facing rooms.
Pros: The staff at Melia Athens Hotel are some of the best I have experienced. We had our personal bag stolen by swipe & run thief while visiting the Acropolis - losing all our money, credit/bank cards, and passport/IDs. The front desk staff came thru for us.
Cons: The bed are a bit uncomfortable and old. The location of the hotel is a double-edged sword; close to the Metro, but graffiti soaked neighborhood makes you feel like in a 3rd world country.
Wifi is only available in the lobby and the rooftop; you have to pay for it while in your room so I opted not to.
Pros: The cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff and the rooftop with the acropolis view for relaxation at night.
Cons: The location was ok.
Great and will definitely visit it again.
Pros: Location, and friendly staff. They upgraded our room as we were on our honeymoon which was a great gesture from the hotel and their staff.
Cons: Just the internet service. As the internet was not available in the room but only to the lounge and pool.
The hotel was okay... The cleanliness needs improvement as the crept looked as if its never been shampooed. In auditioned the staff need encouragement or something from management as they did not look happy to work there. The pool area always had wifi and the view was pretty cool! Over it was okay... Would I stay there again no...
Pros: Nice rooftop garden
Cons: Wifi is not free as posted on Priceline unless you sign up for membership. And the Internet was extremely slow.

Cons: The bed was extremely hard.
